Young UNIW 3rd Ordinary General Assembly

A management transition took place during the iftar program and 3rd Ordinary General Assembly organized by the Youth Board of the Union of NGOs of the Islamic World (Young UNIW) on June 20, 2017, at the Üsküdar Municipality Maiden's Tower (Kız Kulesi) Restaurant.

Commencing with the opening address of UNIW Secretary General Atty. Ali Kurt, the Secretary General emphasized that youth activities carry paramount importance within UNIW operations. Highlighting how crucial youth initiatives have been in UNIW's core mission since its foundation, he expressed full confidence that these endeavors will continue to expand in the new term.

Attended also by former Young UNIW Presidents Cihat Terzioğlu and Fatih Coşar, the General Assembly continued with the address of 3rd Term Young UNIW President Mehmet Şerif Sarıkaya.

Briefing members on Young UNIW operations conducted between 2015 and 2017, Sarıkaya provided information on the "Islamic World Academy" project supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports across three countries (Turkey, Malaysia, Albania) and the 13th International Youth Gathering held in Ankara and Konya on August 18-24, 2016, conveying his best wishes for the new administration.

Subsequently taking over the presidency for the new term, Serdar Bayram expressed gratitude to former presidents, Young UNIW teams, and supporting colleagues. He shared complementary details regarding upcoming projects for the new term, including the "Country Specialization School" supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the 14th International Youth Gathering.

Following the introduction of the 4th Term Board of Directors members and dinner, the Young UNIW 3rd Ordinary General Assembly concluded.
