22nd Council Meeting

22nd Council Meeting of The Union of NGOs of The Islamic World (UNIW) was held on 07 December 2017 at Akgün Hotel with an intensive agenda in Istanbul.

The meeting provided information on a number of concurrent programs in 2016 and 2017. The results of the Lebanese, Sudanese, Somali and Pakistani NGO regional meetings were evaluated, while the International Advisory Committee for the Family Institute made, which was among them, and the meetings and conferences held at home and abroad were presented.

Information on ongoing work has been shared since the 21st Council meeting in Malaysia, Sabah Island, Kota Kinabalu.

The International Family Institute, the Civil Society Academy, the International Kashmir Conference and the International NGO Fair to organize after a few days consultations were held.

The Council members were informed about the 14th International Youth Encounters (UGB) to be held in Pakistan next year.

A presentation was made on the latest situation of the restoration works of Sokullu Mehmet Pasha Complex, the new center of the association and the 2nd NGO Fair venue, preparatory work and participants.

Later on, the 8th General Assembly agenda, which will take place the next day, was exchanged views on proposals for amendments to statutes.

Each member requested support from the countries and territories where they were working and with the support of trying to establish new and strong links in cooperation with quality organizations that could provide support to our union.
