Secretariat

“The Secretariat, which carries out all the administrative and technical office works, document acceptance and correspondence of the Union, consists of the Secretary General representing the Union as administrative authority and responsible, and four Deputy Secretary Generals, and a sufficient number of other administrative and technical personnel headed by the General Coordinator.

The Secretary General appoints all personnel of the Union and dismisses them when necessary.

The General Coordinator, in his capacity as the highest level Union staff member, performs secretarial duties as the chief responsible for office work. It contributes professionally by participating in the activities of the Union organs together with its assistants.

The Secretariat continues its work at the Union headquarters.”
