International Family Institute First Workshop in 2019

The Union of NGOs of the Islamic World (UNIW), through its International Family Institute (UAE), had organized a workshop on “Priority Action Plan on Family Institution (1) – Family Charter”, held at SETA Building in Eyupsultan, Edirnekapi on 23rd of February 2019, from 10.30 am to 16.30 pm, attended by more than 30 bureaucrats, experts, academics and non-governmental organisations.

As we all know, the threats on family institutions are increasing from day to day without a clear solution policy. Thus, it is of utmost important for us to work on solution-oriented approaches, instead of just complaining about the crisis.

The compilation of the drafted International Family Charter was prepared by this institution and the final text is a product of follow-up workshops and thorough dialogues conducted in various countries and multiple events. In order to present the charter to international institutions, particularly to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), experts were invited to evaluate the structure of this Family Charter comprehensively, on many occasion.

In addition, the agenda, roadmap and activity calendar for the International Family Institute on the year 2019 were also discussed. The participants of the workshop had shared their opinions and contributed on the charter and made suggestions for the institute’s 2019 calendar.
