Short Present
Act Foundation, was founded in 2005 with the focus of providing excellent social and humanitarian aid. Since then, ACT had developed its members’ capability and capacity to conduct emergency aid, assisting rescue program in the aftermath of natural disaster and catastrophes, coordinating Ramadan donations and organizing qurban for the needy. There are active in over 30 provinces and 100 cities of Indonesia. The foundation had involved in international aid programmes since 2012 and are currently engaging aid missions in 22 countries arranging from Asia, Europe and Africa regions. ACT had opened its Turkish office in Istanbul to build better support system for Syrian immigrants.

Ahyudin Misan
He born in Tasikmalaya, West Java on 11 October 1966. After graduated in Geography from Lampung University in 1992, he chooses to devote himself into the humanitarian world. His experience of dealing with natural disaster victims since 1994 has made him one of the few people have vast experience on handling both natural and social calamities in Indonesia. One of his unforgettable tense experiences was when delivering emergency aid to Afghanistan (2001), Iraq (2003) and Kashmir (Pakistan, 2005).
In Indonesia, he was a General Coordinator of the Aceh Humanitarian Committee / KAA (2003-2004, handling of refugees of vertical conflict in Aceh), one of the Presidium of Humanitarian Committee for Buyat Bay / KKTB (2004-2005, handling victims of the PT NMR gold mine) formed by a consortium of national humanitarian agencies.
His journey as a founder and leader of ACT since April 2005, adds an important footprint in his humanitarian work, by establishing several strategic institutions: the Indonesian Volunteer Society / MRI have no less than 200.000 volunteers scattered throughout various cities in Indonesia and a number of countries; while Disaster Management Institute of Indonesia / DMII provide research services, consultation and disaster preparedness training. Such experiences has made him one of the experts in the disaster management, humanitarian and character building model for various events (campus, international NGO forum, NGO corporations, central and district / city, community and corporate).
