Short Introduction
Foundation for Serving Humanity was established by Prof. Dr. Hikmet Ozdemir in 1986 with the belief that ’The good of the people is the one that serves people’ and biggest investment is the investment for education. In addition to aspire for education advancement, the foundation also have a keen interest and activism in social services, and had been giving scholarships to middle school and high school students.

President
Prof. Dr. Hikmet Ozdemir
Was born in 1964, Istanbul. He graduated from the Faculty of Theology at Ankara University in 1971 and received his doctor’s degree in 1980. He has been the tasks; Istanbul and Ankara center preacher Bolu Mufti, and Director of Religious Education Center. In 1984 he started as assistant professor at Marmara University, Faculty of Science and Literature. Assoc. and from 1984 to 1986 he became the General Director of Religious Instruction of the Ministry of National Education. In 1993, he became associate professor at the Department of Turkish Language and Literature Education at the MÜ Atatürk Education Faculty and received his professorship title in 1998. In the elections held on 3 November 2002, he was elected to deputy from Cankiri. Ozdemir, who is the founder and president of many civil society organizations as well as academics, has organized many scientific meetings, symposiums and open sessions both at home and abroad. He has 24 books published and more than 40 articles. He is married and a father of 5 children.
