Hayrat Foundation
Short Introduction
Ahmed Husrev Altınbasak, successor of Imam Bediuzzaman Said Nursi, established Hayrat Foundation in 1974 in Isparta, Turkey. With its headquarters based in Istanbul, Kucukcekmece, the Foundation has been working to sustain its founding purposes by executing activities with the aim of spreading, practicing and uplifting our cultural and spiritual values both on national and international levels. Along with “service of iman and Qur’an” centred educational activities the Foundation is a founding member of the Foundation of Volunteer Organizations of Turkey (TGTV) where it is a member of Board of Trustees, Governing and Executive Boards. It is also a founding member and Turkey representative of the Union of Non-Governmental Organizations of the Islamic World (UNIW), which aims at achieving cooperation, unity and solidarity in the Islamic world.
