Short Introduction
Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MUSIAD) is a “BUSINESSMEN’S ASSOCIATION” founded in 1990, in Istanbul, Turkey, by concerned businessmen dedicated to the realization of a Turkey where human rights and supremacy of the law, justice and equality, peace and security and the welfare and happiness of the people are guaranteed; where community and universal values that are adopted historically by the people are protected; and where the country is effective in the region and respected in the world. MUSIAD is an active and strong “NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION (NGO)” that provides “PLATFORM for DEVELOPMENT-DIALOGUECOOPERATION and SOLIDARITY” created for the purpose of contributing to the social, cultural, political, economic, scientific and technological development of individuals and institutions, our country and society, our region and the world.

President

Born in 1967 in Rize / Pazar, Mahmut Asmalı completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Istanbul and his university education in 1989 at Karadeniz Technical University, Department of Civil Engineering. He started his professional life as a Field Engineer between 1989 and 1998, and undertook many successful projects in the private sector as Assistant General Manager.

In 1998, he left the company he worked for and founded Akyapı İnşaat with an engineer friend. For 23 years, he has carried out projects in all areas of the construction industry, from factories to quality residences-villa constructions, from industrial sites to shopping centers, from hospitals to schools. The company continues its activities with new projects.
