Short Introduction
The organisation was founded on 21st October 1992 at Freiburg city, Germany, under the original name, Intenationale Humanitaire Hilfeorganization (IHH). About a year later, on 19th October 1993, it was founded for the second time by a group of youths in Netherlands, with the name IHHNL. Initially, branches of IHH was established in some of Turkey and European cities, including a branch in Germany. Later on, its branches extended to other European countries. Although all IHH branches are organizationally independent, they worked together on joint projects until 2004. Due to some circumstances, IHH has not been conducting joint-projects since 2004. However, its branches in Europe continue to work in collective coordination. IHH Netherlands, is an independent organisation and are not affiliated to any organization in Turkey nor abroad. They currently have 25 central board members, 27 regional board members, 18 representatives, 2,000 active members who make regular donations every month, over 10,000 donors and around 450 volunteers. With an annual aid budget of 3.7 million Euros, it carries out aid activities in nearly 30 poor countries around the world.

Murat Öktener
He was born in 1982 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Graduated from computer engineering department. He has been a board member of IHHNL since 2010. He has also been working as a computer engineer at a bank since 2003. He is married and has four children.

Ayhan Arslantaş
He was born in 1980 in Roermond, Netherlands. He holds a degree in industrial engineering. He had served in various organizations and mosque administrations. In 2014 he became an IHHNL volunteer. He has been a board member of IHHNL since 2017. Since 2005, he has held various positions in international companies and are active in the transportation sector. He is married and has four children.
