Yemen Turkish Development Foundation
Short Introduction
Yemen-Turkish Development Foundation was founded in Yemen’s capital Sana’a in 2012. It was officiated by participation of Prime Minister of Yemen and Turkish Ambassador to Yemen. The purpose of the foundation is to strengthen relations between Turkey and Yemen, and try to take it to a higher level. It is an institution which has been established to make an example between the Islamic countries and to exchange experiences and information between the two countries and Yemen. The vision of the foundation is to act as a resource of reference for all institutions working between Yemen and Turkey.
President
Muhammed Humaikani was born in Yemen in 1972 and graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 2000. After finishing medical school, he returned to his country to serve as a health director in one of the districts and then as head doctor at Al Manar Hospital. He completed his doctorate and PhD in Al Thawra Hospital in 2003. In addition to her professional duties as chief physician in Sahara Hospital in Yemen, he has served in various social services such as the membership of Vefa Şehitler Association, membership of Medical Assistance Association, membership of Foreign Affairs Commission of Islah Party and consultancy of Şebeket Nema, an umbrella organization in Yemen. He is also a founding member of the Yemeni Association in Turkey in 2014 was chairman of the association for two years. As he had provided long service as a medical doctor since 2017 Turkey has been the chairman of the Yemeni Businessmen Association. He has been serving as a member of the Supervisory Board of the UNIW since 2016. He has been granted Turkish citizenship by the end of 2018 and is married with seven children.
