We Foiled The 15th July Coup

“Is he going to hit me? I’m surprised! / I’m like a roaring flood. I’m going to beat you! / I’ll tear apart mountains, exceed the heavens and still gush out!”, those who dared to make such shallow attempt were foiled and overwhelmed by their own murky waters. Their betrayal of their own nation, their own security forces, their own parliament, by the weapons they were entrusted to protect it with, were thwarted in the most beautiful manner.

UNIW, with all of its 312 members in 63 countries, both NGOs that are stationed in Turkey and abroad, had closely monitored the development of the incident and we would like the Republic of Turkey to know that we stand against such actions that void the will of the nation.

We pray for Allah’s mercy upon our brethren, who were martyred in this coup attempt and to their loved ones, we also wish for speedy recovery of the wounded. As civil society, we are confident that the perpetrators of this coup attempt will be punished swiftly, in due time.
