Council
The primary governing body executing decision-making, guidance, and representation for the Union.
The Council consists of the Secretary General, elected by the General Assembly from among the representatives of member organizations, and Council members representing different countries.
With one Council member always representing the host country of the Union headquarters, the top ten voted candidates are appointed as executive members, and the next ten as alternate members.
The Secretary General, Deputy Secretaries General, and Council members are elected for a three-year term.
Composition
The Council consists of twenty-one members: the Secretary General, ten executive members, and ten alternate members.
