4th UNIW Secretariat Consultation Meeting Held with East Turkistan Education and Solidarity Association

UNIW have an Extended Secretariat Meeting with our members from other countries that are operating in Turkey, led by East Turkistan Education and Solidarity Association. In the meeting, UNIW activities and the agenda of the Islamic world were consulted.

The meeting started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Afterwards, UNIW Secretary General, Atty. Ali Kurt made his opening speech and thanked the President of East Turkistan Education and Solidarity Association, Mr Hidayet Oguzhan. Then, Mr Hidayet Oguzhan started his speech by welcoming everyone and highlighted that they had met with UNIW and TGTV shortly after their establishment. He also said that since then, they had many opportunities to meet with various non-governmental organizations, both in Turkey and throughout the Islamic world. He said, “We had the chance to explain the crises of East Turkistan to wider channels and we had come a long way. I would like to thank UNIW and other elders for this.” He then proceeds to share the details of the persecution of Muslims in East Turkistan.

After the meeting, Atty. Ali Kurt informed the participants of the activities that had taken place since the previous meeting. Later on, the participants shared their views on the subject and stated that these meetings were very useful to understand the Ummah problems and finding viable solutions.

At the end of the meeting, Atty. Ali Kurt thanked all of the meeting participants and reiterated his wishes to meet again at the next meeting.
