Arab Turkish Relations Conference
“Arab Turkish Relations Conference” was held in Kuwait between17-18 May 2017 under the Prime Minister of Kuwait Mr. Jabar al-Mubarak al-Hamad al-Sabah. About 50 representatives of different NGOs and Organizations from Turkey and academicians, political persons, and NGO representatives form Gulf countries and Africa participated to this conference.
In the opening of conference State minister Sheikh Mohammed Abdallah al-Mubarak al-Sabah represented Kuwait Prime Minister Mr. Jaber al-Mubarak al-Hamad al-Sabah and conference organizer Member of Parliament Mr Nayif al-Mirdas from Kuwait side, Turkish ambassador in Kuwait Mr. Salih Murat Tamer and UNIW Secretary General Atty. Ali Kurt gave speeches from Turkey side.
On first day of the conference discussed very important topics in different sessions. topics were as below;
Arabs and Turks in the Face of Cultural Changes, The Historical Journey from Heritage Past to Protractile Future, Impact of Cultural Interaction anf Relations to Development, The Future of Islamic World in the Face of Common Threats. Second day of the conference began with workshops. In these workshops NGOs gave presentations about their activities regarding Syria. In this context, the role of NGOs was evaluated in same areas and same regions.
It was decided to establish Arab Turk Relations Forum in the closing workshop as output of this conference. NGO representatives shared their views and suggestions about drafted statute of this forum. The conference ended with signing of final statute of forum, selection of president and member of boards and with presentation of the declaration.
