UNIW Visit to Islamic Development Bank

The UNIW delegation met with officials of the Islamic Development Bank in Saudi Arabia to hold a series of meetings. Our secretary general Atty. Ali Kurt gave information about the activities of the NGO fair and the sub-units of Humanitarian Aid Platform, ICR, Young UNIW, International Family Institute and International Sivil Society Academy.

Saying that they were pleased with our visit, Head of Islamic Financial Investments Department Dr. Ali Chatti declared that they want to attend the next fair. He said that there are many common areas of work between the institutions and this year, the IDB administration is focusing on supporting projects related to NGOs.

IDB officials said that they could work together in this field, especially the “International Academy of Civil Society Project” which corresponds to the project they are working on. Stating that there are many areas where the two institutions can cooperate on this issue, IDB officials said that they want to benefit from UNIW’s knowledge and experience.

The meeting was completed after mutual wishes.
