Visit to Turkish Red Crescent

 
We held a meeting with General Manager of Red Crescent Mr. Ibrahim Altan in his office. Information was given about the projects of the UNIW. Veysel Karani Association President Mr. Salah Bates submitted information on the latest situation in Yemen. The fate of two ships carrying aid supplies to Yemen in the past years and the problems experienced during the distribution of these aids were consulted.

Ibrahim bey stated that; Yemeni people in Turkey move extremely unprofessionally and they are in pieces, they can start moving as together but this movement should be coordinated under the umbrella of UNIW. Aid ships will be sent to Yemen from Turkey before departing, a delegation needs to be established from Yemeni NGOs and that delegation needs to act in coordination with UNIW – Red Crescent – AFAD constantly.
