Strong Presence of UNIW Members in Gaza Highlighted in UN Report
The latest report published by the Palestine Food Security Sector, operating under the United Nations umbrella, highlights the strong presence and humanitarian efforts of members of the Union of NGOs of the Islamic World (UNIW) in Gaza.

The report, titled “Gaza Strip | Cooked Meal Provision Points,” lists a total of 97 cooked meal provision points across the Gaza Strip. UNIW members Deniz Feneri Association, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, and Yedi Başak Humanitarian Aid Association are among the organizations supporting 15 of these locations.
Prepared on 8 August 2026 and based on information reported by partners on the ground as of 6 August, the report presents the distribution of cooked meal provision points across Gaza and the humanitarian organizations supporting them.
UNIW Members Support 15 of 97 Locations
According to the report, Deniz Feneri Association stands out among UNIW members with the largest network, supporting 11 cooked meal provision points. Its activities extend across Deir el-Balah, Gaza, Khan Younis, North Gaza, and Rafah.
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation supports a total of three cooked meal provision points in Deir el-Balah and Gaza. Yedi Başak Humanitarian Aid Association is also included in the report through its support for Yedi Basak Kitchen in the An Naser area of Khan Younis.
With Deniz Feneri supporting 11 locations, IHH three, and Yedi Başak one, UNIW member organizations contribute to meeting the basic food needs of the Palestinian people at a total of 15 cooked meal provision points across the Gaza Strip.
UNIW at the Forefront of Humanitarian Aid in Gaza
The report demonstrates that the humanitarian activities of UNIW member organizations are not limited to a single area of Gaza but form a strong aid network extending across different parts of the Strip.
The presence of UNIW members at 15 of the 97 cooked meal provision points also reflects, in international humanitarian data, the efforts of Deniz Feneri, IHH, and Yedi Başak to support food security and help meet the need for cooked meals in Gaza.
UNIW member organizations continue to stand with the Palestinian people through their humanitarian activities across different areas of the Gaza Strip.
