UNIW Met with NGOs in Sudan

Within the scope of UNIW's 2018 visit program, Seyyab Eljar, Officer for the Africa and Middle East Desk, conducted an official visit to Sudan between February 18 and March 2, 2018.

In this context, official visits were paid to the General Sudanese Women's Union (İttihadü'l Amm li'l Mer'eti's Sudaniye), Munazzamat al-Muntada, Munazzamat al-Ishraq for Development, Maarij Foundation for Peace and Development, Munazzamat al-Mihere, Al-Zubair Charitable Foundation, Sanad Charitable Foundation, International Muslim Women's Union (IMWU), and the Youth Stability Projects Organization (Munazzamatu Meşari'i İstikrari'ş Şebab).

During consultations held with UNIW Council member Munazzamat al-Da'wa al-Islamiyya, discussions were conducted with NGO representatives regarding strategic cooperation opportunities and the upcoming Africa Congress project. General regional challenges and UNIW's potential contributions to solutions were thoroughly evaluated.

The visited NGOs expressed great satisfaction with the briefings provided regarding UNIW and its global activities, asserting their commitment to maintaining closer organizational relations with the headquarters.
