UNIW Sudan – Somalia Visit

Within the framework of domestic and international member visit activities planned for this year, UNIW Middle East and Africa Desk Officer Assayyap Alhassan conducted official visits to Sudan and Somalia as the UNIW representative. During his visits conducted between February 18 and March 8, 2018, across Sudan and Somalia, comprehensive consultations and exchanges of views regarding issues concerning the Islamic World were held with official institutions, universities, political parties, Turkish diplomatic missions, civil society organizations, and prominent personalities.

Having the opportunity to meet with non-member organizations during his visits, Alhassan introduced UNIW and shared briefings regarding our activities. Expressing great satisfaction following the productive meetings, the NGOs affirmed that they would maintain closer relations with UNIW.
