1st Extended Secretariat Meeting with Arab NGOs in Turkey

UNIW came together with Arab NGOs in Turkey. The meeting started with the representatives introducing themselves. Then UNIW Secretary General Atty. Ali Kurt gave information about the work carried out within the union and the activities to be carried out in 2019.

General Secretary Atty. Ali Kurt continued as follows: "Muslims, especially those in Syria, Libya, Yemen, East Turkestan, Arakan and Bangladesh, are under great oppression in many parts of the world. Jerusalem continues to be one of our most important wounds that is followed with great sadness and anxiety in the Islamic geography and especially in our country. These troubles experienced in the world are the troubles of the ummah, we have many problems, but we have only one way out - unity and solidarity."

NGO representatives who received information about UNIW and its activities expressed their satisfaction and stated that they would be in close relationship with UNIW, which is the umbrella organization. They expressed their opinions about different programs.

At the end of the meeting, Atty. Ali Kurt thanked the participants and stated that the meetings will be repeated periodically from now on.
