Meeting with NGO Youth Representatives within KAGE Framework
UNIW Women, Family, and Youth Commission (KAGE) gathered youth representatives from civil society organizations to discuss family values and youth cooperation.
Within the scope of the UNIW Women, Family, and Youth Commission (KAGE), a consultative meeting was held at UNIW Headquarters on March 19, 2019, with youth representatives of member non-governmental organizations. The meeting commenced with opening remarks by KAGE Co-Chair Dr. Rabiye Yılmaz, followed by an introductory round among participants.
Dr. Rabiye Yılmaz delivered a presentation reviewing the history, milestones, and ongoing initiatives of the International Family Institute (UAE) since its foundation. Following the presentation, Young UNIW President Serdar Bayram delivered an informative briefing introducing the organizational structure and global initiatives of Young UNIW.
Highlighting how the traditional family unit is being undermined in various international frameworks and platforms, Dr. Rabiye Yılmaz noted: 'Preserving family values is an existential duty for our societies, which is why close consultation with our youth is essential.'
During the highly engaging session, youth representatives shared their perspectives on 'Family and Youth'. The meeting concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Rabiye Yılmaz thanking all participants for their active contributions.
