14th African NGO Development Summit

The 14th African NGO Development Summit, centered on the theme 'Sustainable Financial Resources', was held in Istanbul on April 12-17, 2017, co-organized by the UK-based Al-Muntada Al-Islami and the Union of NGOs of the Islamic World (UNIW). The summit brought together 80 NGO presidents from 25 African countries alongside senior Turkish officials and humanitarian leaders.

The summit featured prominent keynote speeches by Al-Muntada President Dr. Abdullah Al-Fayez, UNIW Secretary General Atty. Ali Kurt, Turkish Red Crescent President Dr. Kerem Kınık, Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk Korkmaz, and Istanbul Deputy Governor Mehmet Ali Yiğit.

Over five intensive days, workshops focused on institutional endowment building, donor diversification, financial transparency, and building sustainable joint ventures between African and Turkish civil society organizations.
