International Humanitarian Aid Conference Between East and West
An international conference on humanitarian relief collaboration between Eastern and Western organizations was held in Istanbul with 56 participating bodies.
The 'International Humanitarian Aid Conference Between East and West' was convened in Istanbul with the participation of 56 prominent humanitarian institutions from Turkey and abroad, including UNIW, the Turkish Red Crescent, TDV, İHH, Doctors Worldwide, Cansuyu, Deniz Feneri, and international Arab charities.
The conference examined shared operational challenges, field security, funding mechanisms, and joint relief coordination in major conflict zones. Speaking at the sessions, UNIW Secretary General Atty. Ali Kurt underlined that Turkey ranks first globally in humanitarian assistance per capita, and urged for unified international coordination platforms to overcome logistical hurdles in crisis regions.
