UNIW Deputy General Coordinator Ahmet Akay Azak, Institutional Relations Coordinator Adil Yarangümeri, and Young UNIW President Serdar Bayram attended the launch of the 'TİKA 2019 Experience Sharing Program'.

Initiated in 2017 by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) to provide university students with a global volunteering vision through participation in development projects, the program took place at the TÜGVA Florya Higher Education Student Residence. The program continued with orientation and training for 500 students from various Turkish universities preparing for field missions across 35 countries.

Bilal Erdoğan, President of the World Ethnosport Confederation, emphasized that TİKA carries out critical development activities worldwide, delivering assistance not only to sister communities and the Muslim world, but to vulnerable populations globally—from indigenous peoples in the Americas to drought-affected communities in Africa.

Erdoğan highlighted that youth participating in such programs gain first-hand appreciation of Turkey's sincere, non-conditional humanitarian diplomacy: 'You will witness Turkey's development aid without any self-interest and feel immense pride in your nation and values.'

The opening ceremony concluded with a commemorative group photo with participating university students.
