UNIW Holds Official Talks with Islamic Development Bank
A UNIW delegation met with officials from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in Saudi Arabia to discuss joint strategic civil society initiatives.
A delegation from the Union of NGOs of the Islamic World (UNIW) met with senior officials of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in Saudi Arabia as part of official international consultations. UNIW Secretary General Atty. Ali Kurt provided a comprehensive briefing on recent key achievements, notably the International NGO Fair, and flagship initiatives including the International Civil Society Academy (USTA), International Family Institute (UAE), and Young UNIW programs.
Expressing their warm welcome, Dr. Ali Chatti, Director of the Islamic Financial Investments Department, stated their keen interest in participating in the upcoming NGO Fair. He emphasized the vast potential for institutional synergy, noting that the IsDB leadership prioritizes direct support and capacity building for civil society initiatives.
IsDB representatives affirmed great alignment with UNIW's projects, particularly noting that the 'International Civil Society Academy' (USTA) project directly resonates with their ongoing development priorities, expressing their desire to leverage UNIW's extensive institutional network and expertise.
The meeting concluded with mutual goodwill and agreements on concrete coordination steps.
