Press Statement Regarding 1915 Armenian Allegations
UNIW press statement rejecting US recognition of the 1915 events as "genocide", highlighting Crusader solidarity double standards, and affirming Turkey's historic tolerance.
Global political history is once again being subjected to an unfair fait accompli. How easily can a head of state—who has become a pawn in the hands of lobbies and has the blood of millions of people on his hands—accuse another country of genocide purely for political reasons and completely contrary to historical facts?
Turning a deaf ear to our persistent proposals stating, "This issue is the domain of historians, not politicians. Come, let us open the archives of all countries so the issue can be revealed in full clarity," they shamelessly step forward assuming that their past atrocities, massacres, and ongoing ruthless operations will be ignored.
Completely ignoring with malicious calculations the reality that we have sheltered the Armenian community within our midst with religious freedoms under a tolerance never practiced by them throughout history since 1071—even embracing Armenian communities persecuted in different global regions—and attempting today to question the mildest precautionary measures taken under the conditions of that day against Armenian massacres is, in the full sense of the word, immorality.
When an ethnicity was never interfered with during the era when the Ottoman Empire was far more powerful—even benefiting from a decree of amnesty published in their favor by Fatih Sultan Mehmet—should it not be questioned what transpired to necessitate relocation in 1915?
Following the Pope's genocide declaration a few years ago, followed by the approval of genocide lies in the European Parliament (EP) and various European national parliaments, it is not surprising that the American administration has now joined this caravan of lies and slander. Once again, we are confronted with the manifestation of hatred and dirty calculations deeply ingrained through centuries of Crusader solidarity.
Never looking at their own historical pages of Crusades, religious wars, inquisitions, concentration camps, and bloody colonialism—and even today shamelessly organizing civil wars, unrest, coups, and factory-produced terror organizations in regions they view as their backyard across the ocean—these representatives of flawed civilization have never possessed the moral competence to evaluate events triggered while a global empire was collapsing to deliver a fair and healthy judgment.
We are fully aware that the core issue does not consist merely of a simple slander campaign. These centers, which remained silent in the face of long years of Armenian occupation and massacres in Nagorno-Karabakh, are now suffering indigestion because those lands achieved freedom through the solidarity of brotherly Azerbaijan and Turkey.
Under the mask of a Strategic Partner, it is blatantly evident that a mindset supporting and even arming Turkey's enemies at every juncture harbors ulterior motives.
As it has been for centuries, the objective is to prevent the rise of a Turkey that will, Insha'Allah, reunite the Islamic world in the near future. The Crusader solidarity that aims to surround, halt, and sever Turkey from the Islamic world through collaborator traitors within and terror cantons nurtured along our borders will never achieve these dirty ambitions.
From east to west, this cherished and noble nation, alongside all its partners across the Islamic world, is both ready and capable of giving these shameless forces the necessary response at all times, just as on July 15.
As a umbrella organization encompassing 354 member NGOs across 66 countries, we express in a loud voice once again that such rhetoric can never harm our national unity and solidarity, nor can it ever halt Turkey's rise in its geography and the Islamic world.
Respectfully announced to the public.
