Aleppo is Calling Us
UNIW urgent humanitarian relief call for Aleppo under heavy bombardment in Syria, appealing to civil society and donors.
Aleppo is Calling Us!
Aleppo—the land of martyrs and home of the oppressed—is calling us and awaiting our humanitarian relief.
In March 2011, the revolution in Syria commenced with graffiti written on walls by a few youths inspired by the Arab Spring. Assad Jr., who inherited one of the bloodiest regimes in our region from his father, unfortunately did not surprise the world despite numerous recommendations, responding to these purely humanitarian demands with unimaginable, disproportionate violence.
Despite massacres increasing in horror and scale daily, the Syrian people sustained peaceful demonstrations for months, receiving only bombs, bullets, and torture in response. An entire nation lies in ruins, and our brothers and sisters are devastated.
From amid the rubble and flames, hardship and wounds, we receive urgent calls for help daily.
Particularly in recent days, the condition of our brothers trapped under rubble in Aleppo under heavy bombardment deteriorates rapidly. Mountains of hardship, blood, and tears grow larger.
In four days alone, over three hundred martyrs gave their lives, and thousands are wounded. They face severe shortages of food, meals, medical treatment, and supplies.
We beseech you to deliver the aid desperately awaited by our brothers as quickly as possible through our humanitarian organizations.
We know that Allah helps His servant as long as the servant helps his brother.
May our Lord bless our geography and be the helper of us all.
