Let Us Help Al-Quds and Masjid Al-Aqsa!

As described in the Holy Quran, “…al-Masjid al- Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed…”, (Surah Al-Isra:1), and as the Messenger of Allah had said, “It is the second masjid decreed to be built by Allah”, (Bukhari and Muslim). Thus, Jerusalem is a holy place for all Muslims, and not to be dictated by Israel through its policy of escalating terrorism!

Unfortunately, this blessed sanctuary are controlled by Israel that operates less of a nation but more of a highly organized terrorist group that dishonor the sanctity of the blessed city with various intrigues. As some mosques were demolished while more synagogues were built in the city, the Al-Aqsa Mosque are only opened to public at certain time of the day, but even then the Muslims are denied access and entry into the mosque to perform their Friday congregational prayers.

There has been a long history of attacks coordinated by Israel; youth, women and children killed on mosque’s premises; the qiblah section of the mosque were smeared dirtily; public shooting with plastic bullets; and stomping the Holy Quran in the mosque are among the biggest provocation carried out by them.

After the state of terror prevented Muslim from conducting their Friday prayer in Al-Aqsa Mosque, the police had installed metal detectors at the door. And it is unacceptable for them to use sound grenades and fire plastic bullets to the public crowd, which even consisted of the Khatib and former Mufti of Jerusalem, Sh. Ikrime Sabri.

The crisis of Jerusalem and Masjid Al-Aqsa are neither a Palestinian crisis nor an Arab crisis. It is a crisis of human rights and freedom, on confronting the plight of the oppressed.

It is obvious that the terrorist state of Israel is provoking the Muslim community through such actions that prolonged throughout the week, to justify their future plans of further aggression to the world.

We had witnessed the hypocrisy of democracy advocates that silent in these cases of clear violation of human rights and freedom, as the victims are Muslims.

The silence of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on defending the rights of Jerusalem and its Muslims, in respect to Jerusalem’s historical foundation are highly regretted and thought-provoking.

The occupation of Masjid Al-Aqsa is a violation, and the invasion of Jerusalem, the city of Isra’ and Mikraj, is highly unacceptable!

As we condemn the cruel actions of the Zionist and terrorist state of Israel, we urge the international community and the Muslim countries, who have not lost their conscience, to take immediate action and make their voices heard.
