Press Statement Regarding Terrorist Attack in New Zealand
UNIW press statement condemning the Christchurch mosque terror attack during Friday prayers, calling for an end to Western Islamophobic terrorism.
The inhumane atrocity committed in New Zealand during Friday prayers has deeply shaken and wounded the entire Islamic world. We pray for Allah's mercy upon our martyrs and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded.
This terrorist act exposes the ultimate climax of racism and anti-Muslim sentiment continuously stoked by Western media and irresponsible politicians.
This attack carried out against innocent people attending Friday prayers in mosques was committed not only against our Muslim brothers, but against all humanity.
This attack is not an isolated act committed by a single individual, but the direct result of an understanding, hate speech, and encouragement persistently maintained by the Western world. This fascistic approach is constantly staged by sinister centers seeking to drag our geography into dark pits and profit from it.
The finest response to give to such attacks will be ensuring internal unity and solidarity with Ummah consciousness from east to west. Our brothers and sisters in New Zealand are not abandoned. The Islamic world with its common sense will stand tall against such actions and will not allow these treacherous centers to achieve their ambitions.
The international community must finally put a stop to Islamophobic fascist terrorism.
As UNIW, we strongly condemn this terrorist attack, inviting all effective institutions—primarily the UN and especially the Organization of Islamic Cooperation—to take urgent concrete steps to ensure such a situation never occurs again.
Respectfully announced to the public.
