We Condemn Terrorism!

As UNIW, we strongly condemn this heinous terrorist attack targeting our nation's unity, solidarity, brotherhood, peace, and security. We pray for Allah's mercy upon our innocent brothers and sisters who lost their lives, wish a rapid recovery to the wounded, and extend our heartfelt condolences and patience to our beloved nation.

Perpetrators of this attack executed through internal and external treason must know well that achieving results or prevailing through such inhumane terrorist acts that ruthlessly massacre civilians is impossible. These barbaric acts only increase our hatred toward them, heighten our awareness, and tighten our ranks. As people of this country—Turks and Kurds alike—who have lived together in brotherhood for centuries, we are fully aware of the games played against our country and Middle Eastern geography from east to west.

The international community must oppose the ugly face of terrorism in a principled manner whenever and wherever it strikes, rather than reacting only when hit directly, and must cease explicit or implicit support. We all know that terrorist entities like the PKK cannot sustain operations without foreign support. States providing open or secret logistical support or offering covert backing through silence are equally responsible for these terrorist acts.

Coupled with determination, collaborators of these dark and dirty forces—both domestic and foreign—must be pursued and held accountable on every scale. We strongly denounce once again this heinous terrorist attack that caused deep grief and concern across the entire Islamic world, calling upon our people to stand tall with patience, restraint, common sense, and resolve, and inviting the international community to abandon hypocrisy and cease backing this cycle of violence.
